We, Rice Lake area school students, have recognized and participated in the many activities offered to students. A variety of organizations such as Forensics, DECA, and Drama help students choose continuing education and career choices. Sports activities allow students to excel at their physical talents and achieve realistic goals. The music department is known for its excellent ability to bring out the best in each talented student. Rice Lake High School students ranked in the top 10% nationwide of ACT scores. The education curriculum is not just for the college-bound students but offers courses that enhance the skill of every student. Education starts early for students--we have many preschool programs that can help the youngsters get a head start on educational experiences yet to come.
The University of Wisconsin -Barron County (UW-BC) has been preparing students for the future for over 35 years. As part of the University of Wisconsin system, UW-BC offers a freshman/sophomore, liberal arts course of study which prepares students of all ages for the challenges of the future. Fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Universities, student's can earn an Associate of Arts and Science degree and transfer earned credits to UW institutions, private, and out-of-state colleges.

UW-BC is the cultural center for the area sponsoring a variety of fine arts events. Non-credit courses for kid, teens, and adults are also scheduled throughout the year.

The Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College dates from its founding in 1941.
WITC Rice Lake is one of four campuses that are part of the Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College district. Together they serve the educational and career needs of more than 30,000 residents of northwestern Wisconsin each year. Each campus offers career-focused associate degree programs, technical diplomas, customized training for area businesses, and a wide array of courses for personal or career enrichment.
WITC is the meeting ground where friendships develop. Besides going to school, many students enjoy canoeing on the Red Cedar River and use the tennis courts and golf course which are on the campus.
